A bus covered in pro-Trump placards crashed into a utility pole in Staten Island, New York, on Sunday, hours before a rally for the former president was to be held nearby.
The bus, covered in pro-Trump signs, reportedly rolled down a hill and crashed into a utility pole, causing severe damage. After Video.
“It was parked by the CVS and just rolled off,” a man seen off-camera in the video says. “Nobody was in the car.”
“This is right after Trump was convicted,” the man joked.
The crash caused an entire side panel to come off the bus, scattering debris around the scene, including pro-Trump placards.
Trump was convicted on Thursday of 34 felony counts of forgery of business documents, the first time a former president has been convicted of a crime. Trump is appealing the sentence.
The former president’s sentencing is scheduled for July 11. He faces up to four years in prison.
