Conor McGregor’s press conference in Dublin, Ireland was suddenly canceled, but McGregor said his fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 will go ahead as scheduled.
“After consulting with UFC, today’s press conference has been canceled due to a series of obstacles beyond our control.” McGregor posted on X“I apologise to our Irish fans and fans around the world for any inconvenience caused and I thank you all for your passion and support. I can’t wait to put on the greatest show ever in the Octagon.”
McGregor did not provide any further details as to why the press conference was cancelled with only 12 hours’ notice.
UFC previously said it was considering rescheduling the press conference.
“The #UFC303 press conference scheduled for Monday, June 3 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland has been postponed until further notice,” the team said in a statement. “We sincerely apologize to the fans who planned to attend. We will provide more information on a new date and time as soon as we have it. Thank you.”
McGregor is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler on June 29th, and the press conference was a big hit, with tickets being given away free to the public. Also available on the secondary ticket market.
