Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins When he returned to Philadelphia on Monday night, the former Phillies player was expected to shed a tear or two, and that’s exactly what happened. (Related: Glow-in-the-dark baseball game footage arrives, and it’s incredible)
First time at bat in the City of Brotherly Love 2022 World Series and beyondHoskins, 31, was a first baseman for the Phillies during his time with the Pennsylvania organization and was greeted with a standing ovation before his turn at bat.
Hoskins tilted his helmet toward the Philadelphia dugout and tapped himself on the upper chest. All of the Phillies players on the field took off their hats to salute Hoskins. Bryce HarperHe especially praised Hoskins, whose move to first base was also notable for the Phillies’ decision not to bring back Reese.

I say that all the time and I will say it again — in fact, I’ll let Billy Beane say it himself, because at the end of the day, that’s what I got from him.
It’s really hard not to find romance in baseball, and this Rhys Hoskins moment is a perfect example of that.
