A conviction against Donald Trump did nothing to halt his winning streak.

He just won a landslide victory in New Mexico’s Republican primary, winning 79.8% of the vote.

The Hill reported:

Former President Trump is projected to win New Mexico’s Republican presidential primary, according to Decision Desk HQ.

New Mexico has 22 delegates at stake on the Republican side, making it one of the final states to hold a presidential election this week.

While Trump does not face a strong rival, political observers are paying close attention to how many votes his rival, Nikki Haley, who suddenly announced last month that she would vote for Trump rather than Biden in November’s presidential election, will receive in the final remaining primaries.

Trump’s approval rating rose slightly after the conviction.

The Epoch Times reported:

President Donald Trump saw a slight increase in his approval rating after he was convicted of a felony last week.

The Morning Consult poll, conducted among 10,404 registered voters from May 31 to June 2 — just after Trump was convicted — showed Trump’s approval rating leading President Joe Biden by one percentage point, or 44 percent to 43 percent.

An earlier Morning Consult poll conducted May 31 found the former president trailing the incumbent Democratic president by one percentage point, 45% to 44%, in favor of President Biden.
