Travis Kelce would visit White House ‘no matter who’s up there’

For Travis Kelce, it doesn’t matter who’s in the White House, he’s always open to a visit.

The Chiefs superstar tight end traveled to Washington, D.C. with his teammates to celebrate their Super Bowl 2024 victory with President Joe Biden. Revealed on “New Heights” podcast Whether it’s Biden or Donald Trump, he’ll be very happy to run for president for the fourth time in his career.

“It’s always an honor to go to the White House,” he told his brother, former Eagles center Jason Kelce, who was hosting the event. “I talked about this a little bit last time, but if I have the opportunity to be recognized by the president of the United States and go with my teammates and a group of men and women that have come together and been successful and gotten to a point where they’re recognized … I’d do it every time, no matter who’s at the helm. No matter what’s going on in the world. It’s just an incredible opportunity.”

“I wanted to represent the Chiefs, do it for the Hunt family and all the coaches, make sure it’s remembered and have some pictures and memories in the bank.”

Kelsey is in a relationship with pop megastar Taylor Swift, who supported Biden over Trump in 2020.

When Kelce returned to the White House last week, he was able to fulfill a dream that didn’t come true during his 2022 visit. As he approached the podium, teammate Patrick Mahomes stopped him and said, “So, I’ve been waiting for this…”

This time, Biden invited him in and handed him the microphone.

“My fellow Americans, it’s good to see you again,” Kelsey said, to laughter from the crowd, “and I’ll be honest with you, President Biden, I was told I would be tasered if I came here, so I’m going back to where I came from.”

Kelce finished the offseason by flying around the world to see Swift’s “Eraser Tour” shows and receiving a two-year contract extension that made him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.

Of course, that was after he and the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in a hard-fought overtime game in which Kelce had 93 yards on nine catches.

The Chiefs are scheduled to begin minicamp next week before their Swift-inspired 2024 schedule begins with a game against the Ravens on Sept. 5.
