On Thursday, the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) vowed to file a lawsuit on Donald Trump’s behalf if the NYPD revokes his gun permit.
Breitbart News reported Wednesday that the New York Police Department is preparing to revoke Donald Trump’s concealed concealment permit after a jury convicted him on numerous felony charges last week.

That’s where the SAF comes in, vowing Thursday to file a lawsuit on Trump’s behalf if his travel permit is revoked.
“Donald Trump has no violent criminal history,” said Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of SAF. [and] Supreme Court 2022 Blue En “Because of court decisions that require gun laws to bear a similar relationship to the historical regulations in place when our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, Trump should not lose his Second Amendment rights.”
He added that there is “no historical nexus that would deny anyone, including Mr. Trump, their gun rights because of a conviction like this.”
“President Trump’s attacks on gun rights underscore the need to reexamine our existing gun laws and reform them to protect individual gun rights,” Gottlieb concluded. “Until that happens, we will be happy to take on the state of New York and the federal government in court.”
