Prosecution Rests in Hunter Biden Gun Trial 

Prosecutors in Hunter Biden’s firearms trial finished presenting their case on Friday and the defense is scheduled to call witnesses to the stand, with the trial expected to conclude next week.

The witnesses who took the stand were:

  • FBI Agent Erica Jensen
  • Hunter’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhl
  • Hunter’s ex-girlfriend, Zoe Kestan
  • Gun shop clerk Gordon Cleveland
  • Hallie Biden, Hunter’s ex-wife and his brother’s widow
  • Police Officer Joshua Marley
  • Former Delaware State Trooper Millard Greer
  • Edward Banner, the 80-year-old man who found Hunter’s gun
  • FBI Chemist Jason Brewer
  • DEA Narcotics Specialist Jason Brewer
Experts warned this week that prosecutors have presented significant evidence against Hunter, but his defense may be counting on the jury to acquit him.

Hunter is charged with one count of making a false statement regarding the purchase of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance, and one count of making a false statement regarding information required to be kept by a federally licensed firearms dealer.

Hunter was using crack cocaine when he bought the gun, according to many of the photos he left on his abandoned laptop. The gun was found discarded in a public trash can next to the school. The Secret Service is reportedly involved in the investigation.

If convicted on all charges, Hunter face He faces up to 25 years in prison and a $750,000 fine, according to court documents.
