President Biden won the Democratic presidential caucus in Guam, based on party results in the U.S. territory in the Western Pacific, according to the Associated Press.
After five months and more than 100 primaries and caucuses, the 2024 presidential nominating season concluded on Saturday with the Democratic caucuses in Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“The Democratic Party is thrilled to send a delegation to the Democratic National Convention in full support of President Biden and Vice President Harris,” Guam Democratic Party Chairman Tony Babauta said in a statement Saturday. “Our island and country need leadership that will continue to invest in our people, improve our infrastructure, focus on sustainability and the environment, and protect women’s rights.”
Biden and former President Trump won the Democratic and Republican nominations about three months ago after landslide victories in the nationwide Super Tuesday elections.

Trump’s final rival for the nomination, former United Nations ambassador and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, stopped campaigning in early March but continued to receive as much as 20% of the vote in some Republican presidential primaries despite being essentially a zombie candidate.
And in the Democratic race, the president faced repeated protest votes through the “undecided” option on the ballot as part of demonstrations against his support for Israel in its war with Hamas in Gaza.
