A triple bogey in the third round at The Memorial on Saturday didn’t slow world number one Scottie Scheffler down, as he carded a 1-under 71 to finish at 10-under after 54 holes.
His solid play at the Memorial Tournament has put him four strokes ahead of Adam Hadwin, Sepp Straka and Collin Morikawa going into the final round, and he’ll be in the final group with Scheffler on Sunday.
Xander Schauffele also shot a 1-under 71 to move into a tie for fifth place at 4-under, six strokes behind.
Ludvig Oberg shot an even-par 72 on Saturday to stay at four under par.
Viktor Hovlan made shot after shot on the back nine, shooting a 5-over 77 on a moving day to move him out of contention for the win and into a tie for 18th in the tournament, 1 under.
