Lone Star’ May End After Season 5

9-1-1: Lone Star A 12-episode fifth season will air this fall, after which it may conclude.

A Fox scripted drama is in the works. deadline Series regular Sierra McClain has reportedly left the show following a recasting drama, fuelling speculation that the series will end after the next season.

McClain, who plays 911 operator Grace Ryder, was reportedly offered a “take it or reject it” contract offer and ultimately chose the latter.

In May, Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade told Deadline that the network could potentially renew the show after the fifth season airs, but a renewal decision would likely be made before the fall premiere.

“Lone Star wasn’t on the schedule this year because of the strike, but we’re really looking forward to having it back on in the fall,” Wade said on Fox’s upfront call at the time. “We’re looking forward to the new season and, as always, we’ll see how it goes and then make a decision about the future of that franchise.”

It has also been reported that Robyn Lively, who plays Judd’s (Jim Parrack) ex-girlfriend Marlene Harris on the show, previously posted a (now deleted) Instagram tribute to the series’ “final season.”

“So excited to be a part of the final season of @911lonestar!! It was an amazing experience!” the post read.

9-1-1: Lone Star It is a spin-off of 9-1-1 (moving to ABC) centers on Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), the chief of the Austin, Texas fire department, and his son, TK (Ronen Rubenstein).

In addition to Lowe, Rubinstein, Palak and McClain, the series also stars Gina Torres, Natasha Cullum, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Julian Works, Kelsey Yates, Skylar Yates and Briana Baker.

All four seasons are available to stream now 9-1-1: Lone Star On Hulu.
