Bryce Harper is enjoying the sights and sounds of London but wishes he could stay longer.
After hitting a solo home run in the fourth inning against the New York Mets in MLB’s London Series on Saturday, Harper headed to the dugout and performed a football-style knee-slide celebration.
This will be the third time MLB has toured overseas, with the Yankees and Red Sox doing so for the first time in 2019 and the Cardinals and Cubs doing so last year.

There will be just six domestic games played after Sunday, but Harper has some thoughts of his own.
“As a team, we’re excited to come here and play in front of different fans,” Harper said. “Obviously, the people here love football and to be able to go to a different country and play in front of a new fan base is going to be a fun time for us and a fun time for them.”
“I’d love for MLB to bring four teams over here and have them play a round robin game and be here for a week and a half, two weeks, just so that British baseball fans can come together,” he said Saturday. “The games will be over so quickly, it’ll be fun to get around the country a bit, get on the train to different places and see things. I think it’ll be a lot of fun.”

Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo agreed, saying it was a “great idea.”
“Once we get used to the time change, maybe we could spend a few weeks here and play a few cities and do a round robin tournament, that would be great,” Nimmo said.
“I think the most important thing is the first 24 hours. After that you’re in a much better place physically and mentally. So I would love to see that. I think it would be good for the game and I think it would grow as a sport. So I think it’s a great idea.”

Last season, the NBA held an in-season tournament that was a huge success, with increased viewership during games and much more excitement than usual. Each member of the winning team received $500,000.
The Mets and Phillies will wrap up their mini-dual on Sunday at 10:10 a.m. ET. The Phillies improved to an MLB-best 45-19 record after Saturday’s 7-2 win.
