It’s been a spring to forget for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rushe Rice.
Rice was arrested after a car crash in Dallas shortly after winning the first Super Bowl of his career and was allegedly involved in an incident with a photographer.

The second-year player spoke to the media on Saturday about his offseason issues.
“I’m grateful for every day,” he said at a football camp organized by his teammates. Fox 4KC“Without the grace of God we can do nothing, so we just try to share the love and embrace every opportunity we can get.”
“I learned a lot from (the offseason issues). All I can do is continue to mature and grow from it. This is a step in a better direction for me. Accidents and things like that happen, but all you can do is move forward and walk around as the same person and stay positive so everyone can feel your love and good energy.”

Rice is expected to participate in offseason training while he resolves his legal issues.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said May 22 that the team intends to continue with the legal process.
Rice had a breakout season in his first season with the Chiefs, recording 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns.

But offseason issues could halt some or all of the momentum he built last year.
