Convicted Felon Hunter Biden ‘Disappointed’ About Guilty Verdict

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden who was convicted, said he was “disappointed” that the jury found him responsible for violating gun laws.

“Rather than being disappointed by the outcome, I am grateful for the love and support I have received over the last week from Melissa, my family, friends and the community,” he said in a statement after the verdict.

“Recovery is possible by God’s grace, and I am thankful to experience that grace one day at a time,” he said.

His lawyer, Abe Rowell, said he was “naturally disappointed” but respected the outcome.

“We respect the jury system and will continue to vigorously pursue any legal action available to Hunter, as we have done throughout this litigation,” Lowell said in a statement.

Caroline Leavitt, national press secretary for the Trump campaign Said In a statement after the conviction, he said the conviction distracts attention from “the real crimes of the Biden crime family.”

During the trial, multiple witnesses testified that Hunter was using drugs in 2018. At the time, he was involved in overseas business dealings with family members, including his uncle, James Biden, who was in court on Monday.

According to the House impeachment investigation, the Biden family and Biden business entities received more than $15 million from individuals in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Romania and China.

One of the biggest deals was when the Biden family received funds from CEFC China Energy Co., an organization with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. In 2023, the House Oversight Committee found that CEFC controlled State Energy Hong Kong Limited, a company linked to payments totaling $1.3 million to the Biden family.

Through the Biden family Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), the Committee also discovered that Biden associate Rob Walker had received a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC, resulting in four members of the Biden family – Hunter, James, Harry and an unidentified “Biden” – receiving a combined $1.3 million from the $3 million wire transfer.

Hunter still faces California tax liabilities related to the Biden family’s business ventures. A trial is scheduled for September.
