Hunter Biden was convicted today To some extent This comes after the contents of his laptop, reported by the New York Post before the 2020 election, were confirmed.
Conspiracy by former US intelligence agency officials
published an open letter Posted on October 19, 2020 October 14th Report The discovery of Hunter Biden’s laptop obtained by the FBI and its contentsVerified“1 year ago.”
Among the 51 people who signed the letter were:
- James Clapper, who served as director of national intelligence under Democratic President Barack Obama
- Michael Hayden, who served as CIA director under the Obama administration
- Leon Panetta, who served as Secretary of Defense and Director of the CIA in the Obama administration.
- John Brennan, who served as CIA director under the Obama administration
- Glenn S. Gerstell, former National Security Agency adviser
- Richard H. Leggett Jr., former Deputy Director of the NSA
- Jeremy Bash, former CIA and Pentagon chief of staff
- Michael Morell, former acting director of the CIA.
Their letter argued that the Hunter Biden laptop story was likely a figment of Slavic imagination and that the story “bears all the classic hallmarks of a Russian intelligence operation.”
While Clapper, Brennan and 49 other so-called experts acknowledged in the letter that they don’t know whether the Hunter Biden emails provided to the New York Post are “authentic” and have no “evidence of Russian involvement,” they still suggested that the “laptop operation designed to discredit Mr. Biden” would “consistent with some of the key methods Russia has used to interfere in our democracy for years.”
The letter was summarized by Politico and left uncorrected by its signatories:Dozens of former intelligence officials say Hunter Biden story is Russian disinformation”
According to the House Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government, then-Biden campaign senior adviser and now Secretary of State Antony Blinken initiated the drafting of the misleading letter to influence the election. The letter was reportedly drafted to set up a narrative before the October 22, 2020 presidential debate, which Biden ultimately used heavily. Later denied Thinking about signing a letter or gathering signatures for a letter.
Despite being undermined by the letter and censored online, the laptop was genuine all along, and its contents, like Ashley Biden’s disturbing diary, were both incriminating and genuine, as FBI Special Agent Erica Jensen notably made clear in court last week.
“The 51 agents, that false story. Remember that?”
Former President Donald Trump recently suggested that 51 administration officials who used their credibility and past positions to try to shield Biden from the truth may soon face consequences.
Trump recently discussed false narratives being spread by the Biden campaign and brought up the subject of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
“The 51 agents, that fake story. Remember? They said, ‘The laptop came from Russia.’ And they should be prosecuted for what they did, OK?”
Said Trump: “Let’s see what happens.”

I reached out my hand The signatories of the October 2020 letter were asked if they regretted misleading the public. Some former officials who swayed the election, like Clapper, have said flatly no, but others have taken an even more forceful stance.
Attorney Mark S. Zaid, who represents Ronald Marks, Mark Polymeropoulos, Douglas Wise, Paul Kolbe, John Cypher, Emile Nakhreh and Gerald O’Shea, argued that the letter was important and that signing it was “patriotic.”
Zeid even suggested that criticism of the letter amounted to disinformation, but stopped short of pinning the blame on Russia.
“There are still many who make calculated or terribly ignorant interpretations of the letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials in October 2020 regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop,” Zaid told Fox.
“A careful and objective read of this document reveals that its contents remain accurate today. It is nothing more than a warning letter to what we have known for decades: that certain foreign governments, including Russia, continue to actively seek to interfere in our internal affairs and that we must remain vigilant. Any patriotic American should have signed this letter,” Zaid added.
Signatory Greg Treverton, former chairman of the National Intelligence Council, said: “What we said is true, we are making an educated guess, and it certainly looked like a Russian operation. We didn’t say that, and certainly couldn’t say that.”
was It’s a Russian operation. Nothing more to say.”
Michael Hayden, who late last year suggested Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) should be removed from the human race, simply hung up the phone and dodged a follow-up request for comment.
The Post reported that Panetta defended the letter in July 2023, saying he had no regrets about signing it.
“I signed this letter for one reason only: to make sure the American people are aware that Russia is conducting a deliberate disinformation campaign inside the United States to influence our elections and our ability to have free and fair elections,” Panetta told CNN.
Regarding further biased reporting of the letter by Politico, Zaid told the Post, “With regard to the Politico article, if I had been representing my client at the time, I certainly would have asked for the headline to be revised, because the article asserts too categorically and broadly a conclusion that the letter did not state.”
