USA vice-captain Aaron Jones was huge for his team in their stunning upset against Pakistan. He scored 19 runs in the “Super Over” to lead the USA to victory. In the entire match, Jones scored 36 runs off 25 balls, including two fours and a six, including a stunning four on the final ball to take the game to the Super Over. (For reference, a “four” is a ball that hits the boundary line, and a “six” is a ball that goes over the boundary line, so six runs is roughly the same as a home run in baseball.)
In India, Rohit Sharma is one of the best batsmen of his generation. He holds several international cricket records, including the most number of sixes, due to his strength in hitting sixes. He is also the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League, having led his club team (Mumbai Indians) to five IPL victories. He was also part of the Indian team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.
