For Father’s Day, pennies and ‘Godwinks,’ plus a lifetime of good memories

“Today we need more light, we need more positivity. Family and Faithhope and strength. That’s what these stories are about.”

Squire Rushnell and Louise Duart, co-founders Godwinks Brand The Massachusetts-based actor recently shared his thoughts with Fox News Digital with the following compelling story, which centers around unwavering faith and family values.

The couple specialise in what they call “Godwinks” stories.

Here’s the real reason why you shouldn’t walk past a penny

They believe that God works in mysterious ways and use the word “Godwink” frequently in their daily lives.

“Godwink is a new word in the language,” Rashnell said in an interview with Fox News Digital, “It means an event that seems like a coincidence, but you know it comes from God.”

They are working on a new Godwink book due to be published next year.

Meanwhile, they shared their heartwarming story with Fox News Digital ahead of Father’s Day 2024.

‘Thanks, Dad.’

Kristen Wakefield of Sacramento, California, said she remembers her father always saying, “No matter how dirty it is, a penny is a penny.”

She began collecting pennies when she was about eight years old, per her father’s encouragement.

After her father died, she felt a deep sadness at the loss of such a central, so important, so crucial person in her life.

One day not that long ago, while walking along the sidewalk near her house, alone with nobody around, she said aloud what was on her mind: “I love you, Dad.”

Then she noticed a light sparkling on the ground.

She looked closer.

It was one penny and it was new and beautiful.

She smiled at Godwink and said, “Thanks, Dad.”

Again she saw the light flash on the ground.

The next day, still feeling deeply sad, she thought about her father while waiting for her tire to be changed at the car repair shop.

Again she saw the light flash on the ground.

This time she picked up the dirtiest, dullest, most damaged penny she had ever seen.

She held it between her fingers like an old tissue and wondered, “Should I keep it?”

And she decided, “No, that’s ugly.”

But for some reason, her father’s voice replayed in her mind: “It’s Still worth every penny -and it is free.

A tire technician suddenly interrupted her thoughts, telling her her car was ready to go.

“Thanks,” she told him. “How much should I borrow?”

“My father would have absolutely loved this place.”

He smiled at her and said, “This is part of our service,” “It’s free.”

She later admitted that she nearly laughed out loud.

And if she did…she would have to share the whole conversation that was playing out in her mind about pennies from heaven.

Instead, she told the man, “Thank you so much. I think my father would have really loved this place too.”

“I don’t want to miss it.”

“In today’s busy world and booming economy, bending over to pick up a dime may seem pointless,” Rashnell and Duart told Fox News Digital about Stewart’s story.

“But what if that sparkle that caught your eye was a small pathway to a divine revelation about your dad and a cherished memory?” they said again.
