Police say a 13-year-old girl was lured into a wooded area of a Queens park in broad daylight on Thursday and sexually assaulted by a knife-wielding assailant.
According to the NYPD, the teenager was in Kissena Park with a 13-year-old boy around 3:30 p.m. when a man brandished a knife and ordered the pair to go to a secluded area near Colden and Kalmia Streets.
Police said the pervert then took the mobile phones of two 13-year-old girls and sexually assaulted them.
He then fled in an unknown direction while emergency services responded and transported the victim, who was in a stable condition, to a local hospital.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s and is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall.
The NYPD described him as having curly hair, braces and a tattoo of a boar or bull with red eyes on his chest.
He was last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack.
Investigators are searching the area for video cameras that may have captured photos of him.
No arrests have been made.
The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to call the Crime Tip Line at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
