Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg reportedly had to work hard to convince skeptical Democratic donors that President Joe Biden isn’t too old to run for reelection.
Last year, Jeffrey Katzenberg, co-chair of Biden’s reelection effort, faced significant skepticism from key Democratic donors who believed Biden, who is in his 80s, couldn’t serve another four years in office, according to one research outlet. The New York Times report.
Even after Mr. Katzenberg tried to ease their concerns, some people remained unconvinced, so he invited them to a meeting with Mr. Biden at the White House and persuaded them to participate.
“He said, ‘Trust me. If you don’t believe me, trust me, but check it out. Come with me and see for yourself, talk to the president,'” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (Democrat) recalled. Times“And then he started doing it consistently.”
In the end, Newsom said, “he really played a key role in getting people off the sidelines and encouraging them to really put their all into this campaign.”
The revelation comes as Biden’s cognitive decline appears to be worsening, and the 81-year-old president was embarrassed again in a recent public appearance: During a photo-op with other G7 leaders in Italy this week, Biden suddenly appeared to wander off on his own and had to be gently led back by Italy’s Giorgia Meloni.

At a recent Juneteenth celebration at the White House, Biden stood stunned and stiff as people around him clapped and danced to the event’s live music.

Biden’s physical frailty has been a concern throughout his time in the White House, with the president having suffered several public falls, most memorably at last year’s graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Biden’s mental health is also clearly declining, he frequently struggles to complete sentences during speeches and interviews, and he often appears confused and disoriented in public, prompting his wife, Jill Biden, to physically escort him off the stage on one occasion.
Breitbart News reported recently that The New York Times/A Siena College poll found that a whopping 73 percent of registered voters believe Biden is too old to be an effective president.
Former Disney president Jeffrey Katzenberg has pledged to provide “all the resources” necessary to help the deeply unpopular Biden win reelection in 2024.
At a recent event in Los Angeles, Katzenberg called former President Donald Trump a “monstrous son of a bitch.”
