The race has grown increasingly nasty in recent weeks, with Dugan, a former state Senate Majority Leader, calling Jack, who advised former President Trump’s 2016 and 2024 campaigns, a “D.C. insider” because of the out-of-state funding his campaign receives, while Jack slammed Dugan for his past support of a 2015 transportation bill that would have increased gas taxes to fund infrastructure improvements and maintenance.
Jack is likely to become the district’s next congressman, replacing retiring Rep. Drew Ferguson, who announced last year that he would not seek reelection.
