Chris Russo probably wouldn’t have welcomed 72-year-old former NFL coach Bill Belichick with open arms if he had shown up at his home to take out his daughter, who is in her early 20s.
“I would say this: If Bill Belichick came to my house and said he wanted to date 23-year-old Kiera Russo, I would be against it.” Russo said Thursday.“Coach, please come in. You two have fun.”
Amid much talk about Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old former beauty pageant contestant Jordan Hudson, Russo, known as “Mad Dog,” revealed he has some reservations about the legendary coach dating a woman a third of his age.
“The 24-year-old boyfriend is a little too much for Belichick. A little too much, to be honest with you,” Russo said on his show “Mad Dog Unleashed.” “He’s 50 years older than him.”
Belichick is normally a low-key man, but social media erupted when his relationship with Hudson, a former cheerleader, became public.
Belichick may have been “heading to Cincinnati” while leading the Patriots to six championships, but the world hasn’t moved on from this one.
Belichick and Hudson met on an airplane in 2021, at the time when the former Patriots head coach was living with his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday, from whom he split in 2023.
The normally grumpy coach was smiling in photos from that flight and appeared to plant the seeds of a future courtship by signing a copy of “Deductive Logic.” Filmed by TMZ.
“Thanks for the logic lesson Jordan! Safe travels!” he wrote above the signature, along with a list of his six Super Bowl titles with New England.
The Daily Mail reported that the infamous video of Belichick leaving his Massachusetts home shirtless last November was actually filmed at Hudson’s home.

While Russo was relatively circumspect about the couple, one of Hudson’s former beauty pageant contestants wasn’t so positive.
“I had no idea she had a boyfriend. I’d heard from people that she was dating a lot of different people,” the former Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2020 contestant told The Washington Post. “I’m really curious how this happened. He’s old enough to be her grandfather!”
“She’s not shy. It’s one thing to want the limelight, but it’s another thing to be dating a man in his 70s. I didn’t think she’d go that far for the fame.”
Russo acknowledged that Belichick dating his daughter, who is in her mid-20s, could have some benefit to his career after staff pointed out the potential benefits.
“I would love to have him on[the show]. That’s fair,” Russo acknowledged.
