“All InFormer President Donald Trump has suggested that foreign college graduates should be allowed to stay in the US after they graduate.
“In order to stay in the United States, you should automatically get a green card as part of your diploma,” Trump said, noting that this includes “junior college.”

But some Republicans, including Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas, oppose the proposed policy.

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky also disagreed with Trump’s position.
“A two-year degree in political science should not be enough to legally reside in the United States. I am for legal immigration. We should strengthen our Republic and welcome talented people who subscribe to our Constitutional values. This is not it!” Massey Declared.
“I think he’s engaged in political tactics. His comments were an attempt to curry favor with Nikki Haley supporters, the Chamber of Commerce, West Coast tech CEOs and some immigrants. There is a danger that many neocon Republicans will play this out in Congress in exchange for war priorities,” Massie wrote in another article. post.
South Carolina Rep. Adam Morgan, who recently lost the Republican House primary to incumbent Rep. William Timmons, who is backed by Trump, also opposed Trump’s proposal.

of Associated Press According to reports, Trump campaign spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said in a statement, “President Trump has outlined the most aggressive vetting procedures in American history to weed out all communists, Islamic extremists, Hamas sympathizers, America-haters and public servants. He believes that only after such vetting has taken place should the most talented graduates who can make significant contributions to America be retained. This will only apply to the most thoroughly vetted college graduates, who will never earn less than American wages or workers.”
