Two teenage boys went missing while swimming at Jacob Riis Park in Queens on Friday night, police said.
NYPD divers were searching for the boys, but they disappeared shortly after lifeguards finished their shift, police said.
According to the New York Police Department, the missing boys, ages 16 and 17, went into the water in Bay 2 at Jacob Riis Park around 6:30 p.m.
The NYPD’s Special Operations Air Force and divers, along with the US Coast Guard, are searching at sea for the two men.
Lifeguard-supervised swimming hours at Federal Beach are 10am to 6pm daily.
