President Biden’s campaign opted to reserve a podium on the right side of the stage during Thursday’s debate, rather than the one his opponent shared.

Meanwhile, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was informed that he was ineligible to participate in the CNN debate.
Following the news, about 50 Kennedy supporters protested in front of CNN’s New York bureau on 10th Avenue on Friday afternoon.
“Watch this, he’s going to be president,” one protester could be heard shouting at the front of the protest.
“RFK, let him speak. CNN, don’t be weak,” others shouted.
Kennedy fell short by failing to receive passing marks in three of the four required polls, but a representative for Kennedy told Fox News’ Peter Doocy that the left-leaning network was showing double standards.
“The Kennedy campaign points out that CNN is subjecting Mr. Kennedy to this requirement, but that Mr. Biden and President Trump, each of whom claims to be the presumptive nominee of their party, have not asked him to meet this requirement,” Doocy said on “Special Report” on Thursday.
Fox News has reached out to the Biden and Trump campaigns for further comment, and leaders from both parties stressed the importance of the two going head-to-head.
“I think that with there being only two candidates and the discussion and talk about how prepared they are for both candidates, people are going to be focused on how Biden performs, how crazy Trump is going to be,” Joe Crowley, the former House Democratic Caucus chairman who was ousted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in 2018, told The Hill.

Meanwhile, Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) told CNN that Trump could take control of the debate by showing how the Middle East has become a “sea of fire” under Biden.
“What you’re about to see is what the world was like under Trump,” he added.
