Chris Wallin — the Nashville hitmaker behind top-of-the-country chart hits for superstars like Garth Brooks, Montgomery Gentry, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and Trace Adkins — on writing a song for an 18-year-old country artist from the perspective of a baby that never got the chance to be born. Today, the powerful pro-life anthem “I was going to be” rocketed into the top 10 country music songs on iTunes.
Warin said,I was going to beSpeaking about “I’m Humbled” reaching the top 10, he said: “Honestly, I’m humbled. When I started writing this song, I didn’t think anyone would actually sing it. I wrote it because I felt I had to say something.”
“Right now, with the help of patriot organizations like Breitbart, Timcast IRL, and Patriot Mobile, we’re at number 9 on the iTunes charts,” Wallin told Breitbart. “Thank you for actually backing up your values with your actions, which is a rare thing these days.”

“I” was a hit on major streaming platforms on day one. National Celebrate Life Weekend and, Roe v. Wade.
this is”I was going to be” Wallin, who is the head of A&R for the song, Bast Records (Nashville-based label whose slogan is “Counterculture Music Company”) said they didn’t have high commercial expectations when they started writing the song.
But as he said in an exclusive interview this week: Breitbart News Daily “Let’s start by making great music that speaks to what we believe in,” says Mike Slater of SiriusXM Patriot 125, and the rest will take care of itself.
“I Was Gonna Be” enters the top 10 on iTunes.
“I was going to be” is available to stream and purchase starting today.
