The U.S. team was looking to get an early positive result against Bolivia in the Copa America, and that positive result came with a goal from Christian Pulisic.
The U.S. men’s national team got off to a strong start in the group stage with Pulisic scoring a goal just over two minutes into Sunday night’s opening match at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The U.S. had a corner kick opportunity 2 minutes and 17 seconds into the game, and instead of kicking it toward the goal, Pulisic made a short pass to Timothy Weah, who ran for two inside Bolivia’s 18-yard box.

Weir dropped the pass to Pulisic and instead of crossing, the AC Milan midfielder spun the ball from right to left and fired a shot towards goal.
The shot was at the perfect height to fly over the head of the Bolivian goalkeeper, who got the ball with his fingertips but was unable to deflect the shot well enough to save it.

As AT&T Stadium erupted in excitement, Pulisic turned around and spotted his teammates on the USA bench.
It was Pulisic’s 30th international goal and he also assisted Folarin Balogun’s goal late in the first half to make the score 2-0.
The U.S. will be looking to gain an advantage in Group C, which also includes Panama and Uruguay.
