‘Sandlot’ actor Thomas Guiry fined after neighbor dispute

That’s the price of “Smalls.”

Actor Thomas Gilley, who played Scotty Smalls in the 1993 cult classic “The Sandlot,” was ordered to pay nearly $800 in fines Monday morning after admitting to throwing a dumbbell at the windshield of a neighbor’s Jeep and then returning to the house with a knife.

Gilley, 43, pleaded guilty to assault, disorderly conduct and malicious damage after the bizarre altercation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, earlier this month and was ordered by a judge to pay fines totaling $757.

Three calls were made to 911 on June 2 after two hours of violent chaos and screaming, one of the victims said in court Monday. WBTW reported.

Surveillance camera footage Obtained by TMZ A shirtless Guilley was shown hurling a 35-pound dumbbell at the windshield of a neighbor’s white Jeep, punching a large hole in the glass before it rolled off the hood of the car.

Shocking footage shows Guilley walking casually through a neighbour’s garden and back to his home across the street.

According to the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, the Jeep’s owner yelled at Guilley, “Your window is broken,” to which Guilley responded, “That’s terrible, I’m sorry, I’m going to give it back, I’m going to get it back.”

Gilley then returned to the neighbor’s house and was seen on doorbell camera approaching the front door brandishing the knife.

One of the victims said Guley chased her into the house, still holding a knife, before her husband confronted him in the garage.

When police arrived, they found Guilley standing in the middle of the road asking about his wife’s safety.

According to the police report, the former child actor later admitted to breaking the windshield and told the neighbor, “I did it. I’m sorry. I’ll come back to help you.” [I’m] Sorry, brother. I’ll give it back.”

Gilley admitted causing the damage and said he would pay compensation to the neighbour. TMZ

Gilley was charged with third-degree assault and assault with battery and malicious damage to personal property.

He was transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on June 2 and released the next day on $1,000 bail.

It was not immediately clear what the cause of the conflict was.

This strange incident was not Gilley’s first involvement with the police.

In 2013, the actor, who lived in Hamilton, New Jersey, was arrested for assault and battery on a public servant after getting into a drunken fight with a police officer at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport and headbutting him.

Gilley is best known for her starring role in The Sandlot at the age of 11, but has also appeared in numerous films, including Lassie and Mystic River.
