Sicko tries to rape Central Park sunbather in broad daylight before her screams send creep running

A pervert attacked a woman sunbathing in Central Park in broad daylight on Monday and tried to rape her, but the woman managed to fight him off as she screamed and fled, police and sources said.

Police and officials said the creepy man attacked the 22-year-old victim, who was sunbathing at West 104th Street and West Drive in the iconic green space around 1:30 p.m.

According to authorities and sources, the unknown man tried to rape the woman, but she screamed and resisted.

The suspect, believed to be in his 30s and wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a blue hat, fled the scene and had not been arrested by late afternoon.

Also Monday afternoon, a woman told police she was selling water further south at the mega park at West 72nd Street and West Drive when she was punched by an assailant, police said.

Police said the victim was still being interviewed and further details about the incident were not immediately available.
