Netanyahu says escalating Hamas war nears end

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the most violent phase of the war with Palestinian militant group Hamas was nearing an end and warned that the next phase could see less intense fighting and troops being redeployed to the northern border with Lebanon. “We need to eliminate all of Hamas’ battalions. Right now we are in Rafah and we are finishing this phase,” Netanyahu said.
