Tennessee Volunteers baseball fans were roaring with excitement Monday night during the first inning of Game 3 of the Men’s College World Series, with the team’s victory or defeat at stake.
Christian Moore hit a solo home run to give his team an early lead against Texas A&M and the crowd at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha went wild.

The ESPN broadcast cut to footage of Peyton Manning embracing country star Morgan Wallen, clad in a pinstriped Tennessee baseball uniform, as Volunteers men’s basketball coach Rick Barnes and football coach Josh Heupel congratulated them.
Tennessee lost 9-5 to Texas A&M in the first game of the Men’s College World Series.

The Aggies were trying to beat the Volunteers in Game 2 and held a 1-0 lead for much of the game, but Tennessee scored a combined four runs in the seventh and eighth innings to force a Game 3. In that game, Dylan Dreiling and Cal Stark each hit a home run.
With a win on Monday night, each team will take home their first-ever College World Series title.
Tennessee has played in the College World Series in 2021 and 2023 but has never advanced to the final three games. The team’s only previous appearance was as runner-up in 1951.

Texas A&M University has played in the College World Series in 2017 and 2022 but failed to advance to the final three-game series.
