Production begins on ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel

The Walt Disney Company has announced that production has begun on a sequel to the 2003 film “Freaky Friday,” starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

“The production of the sequel Freaky Friday – Filming began in Los Angeles today on the studio’s hit comedy, which starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in 2003. “The film is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide in 2025,” it said. Disney.

In the original film, Curtis and Lohan play a mother and daughter who wake up one day to the shocking discovery that they’ve switched bodies, only to be reverted to their original bodies by the film’s conclusion.

“This cross-generational sequel to the hit 2003 film picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) find themselves in the midst of an identity crisis, as Anna brings a new daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter to the family. As they navigate the challenges that arise when two families merge, Tess and Anna realize it might happen again,” a Walt Disney Company statement read.

According to the announcement, Curtis will serve as producer and Lohan will serve as executive producer.
