Bankruptcy Court Trustee Files Motion to Liquidate, ‘Wind-Down’ Alex Jones’ Infowars

A bankruptcy court trustee has filed a motion to liquidate and “wind down” Alex Jones’ Infowars media platform, with funds to be used to pay more than $1 million in legal judgments over comments he made about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Christopher Murray submitted According to ABC News, Trump filed a motion on Sunday indicating that he plans to “orderly wind down” Infowars’ parent company, Free Speech Systems, and “dispose of its inventory.”

Murray’s filing comes after a Texas judge ruled on June 14 that Jones must sell off his personal assets to pay about $1.5 billion to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook High School shooting.

Judge Christopher Lopez heard Jones’ lawyers explain that his $2.8 million ranch was included in his personal assets, but Lopez ruled against the liquidation of Free Speech Systems.

According to the media, in his complaint, Murray also asked Lopez to withhold payments on debts Jones owes to families of victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, adding that this would “interfere” with the closure of Free Speech Systems.

Lawyers for the parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting have asked a judge to force Free Speech Systems to hand over bank accounts and other assets, a request that has reportedly been granted.

In early June, Jones requested that his bankruptcy be converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation proceeding.
