Travis Kelce has been candid about his girlfriend Taylor Swift, revealing the moment he fell head over heels in love with her.
Currently appearing “Bussin’ With The Boys Podcast” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, who was released on Tuesday, was asked about his romance with the 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer.
When asked what it’s like to date the biggest pop star on the planet, the three-time Super Bowl champion didn’t mince words.
“I want to keep it private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” he told co-hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. “She’s my girl. My woman. I’m proud of that.”
“I’m not sitting here worrying about, ‘How can I keep this a secret?’ I just don’t want everyone to know and comment on my personal life, knowing that everything she does will be a headline.”
And despite being a global phenomenon, the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker remains down to earth, which is what captivated Kelsey.
“She’s very self-aware,” he said. “She understands the situation and I think that’s why I really started to get into her. She’s genuine with her friends and family.”
“That much attention can make people go crazy, but she handled it so calmly and collectedly, and I really respect that,” he added.
The pair began their romance last summer, after which Swift made headlines after attending a Chiefs game in September.
The 34-year-old “Fornite” singer wore red for his football debut and was seen chatting and laughing with Kelsey’s mother, Donna, in the team’s VIP suite.
Despite Kelsey offering to arrange a private, paparazzi-free entrance for Swift, Swift revealed that she wanted to fully enjoy the experience.
“She just walked out the front door,” he recalled, “without speaking to any security or checking to see if she had reached her destination.” [seat]She just said, ‘I just want to be with my family and friends and experience this with everyone.'”
“She’s in the craze. She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that,” he said. “She really charmed me.”
“So I guess that’s when I really started to fall in love with her. [watching] It shows how genuine she is in front of her friends and family,” he added.
When asked to name the most surprising thing about dating the “Wildest Dreams” hitmaker, Kelsey detailed the media attention surrounding the pair.
“[Paparazzi] “It was the craziest thing that’s happened. Definitely pulling up to the house, just a coincidence, I don’t know,” he said.
“It’s a different customer base than the NFL, so it’s fun to get out there and see her fans and everything. It’s fun because it’s brought a lot more kids into the game and a lot of the Chiefs fans have become her fans, and then her fans have become Chiefs fans, so it’s been fun all around.”
“But when you’re at home, you want privacy and you don’t always get it,” he added.
