Emergency responders are hailing a 12-year-old autistic Florida boy as a “local hero” after he responded quickly when his mother had a seizure.
Jarrell “JJ” Wilson of Palm Beach County It is called May 3rd, 911 Witnessed His mother was undergoing emergency medical treatment, WPTV reported.
“Any time someone calls 911, it’s a stressful and emotional situation and critical information must be communicated quickly and accurately,” Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) wrote on Facebook. “That’s exactly what JJ did – letting help know what was happening and answering questions quickly, clearly and calmly.”

“He did an outstanding job!” officials said. “Last week, our PBCFR firefighters presented him with the ‘Local Hero’ award.”

JJ’s church and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office also presented him with bravery awards, according to the fire department.
JJ and his mother even got the chance to meet the 911 dispatcher they spoke with on the phone.
According to the Fire and Rescue Team, all members said they were “proud of #PBCFRJJ!”
