Thirty-nine percent of voters said they “strongly” approve of prosecutors, compared with 33% for Mr. Bush. Mr. Bell’s job performance was given a positive rating of 61%, 34 points higher than the congressman’s 49% positive rating.

Among 1st District residents who have voted in the past three primary elections, Bell’s lead has grown to 10 points (49% to 39%).

The poll, conducted June 18-22 for the pro-Israel Democratic Majority group, showed that support for Bell is growing, although 11 percent of voters are still undecided.

According to pollsters, Bell’s approval rating in January was just 29 percent, 16 points lower than Bush’s 45 percent.

“Mr. Bell’s vote share and vote margin increased among every major demographic: whites and blacks, men and women, those over 50 and those under 50, and in and outside St. Louis,” the poll noted.

“This primary is essentially a tie, but Wesley Bell is clearly ahead,” he added.

In April, the Melman Group announced that Westchester County Mayor George Latimer They held a 17-point lead He defeated Bowman in the primary for New York’s 16th district.

Latimer beat Bowman by 16.8 points on Tuesday.

Like Bowman, Bush was an early supporter of a ceasefire in Israel’s war with Hamas and has criticized the Jewish state in the aftermath of the Oct. 7, 2023 terror attacks.

The 47-year-old congressman was one of two House members, along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), to vote against a bill that sought to ban Hamas terrorists involved in last October’s attack on Israel from entering the United States.

Last year, Bush was one of nine House Democrats who voted against a resolution condemning Hamas for the attacks that killed 1,400 people.

She also accused Israel of conducting a “campaign of ethnic cleansing” in Gaza.

Pollster Mark Mellman is also chairman of the Democratic Majority for Israel Political Action Committee, whose liberal super PAC endorsed Bell and Latimer in April.
