14 Republicans Help Dems Fund Biden’s Executive Amnesty for Illegals

More than a dozen House Republicans have backed Democrats’ funding for President Joe Biden’s presidential amnesty for up to 1 million illegal immigrants, allowing them to remain in the U.S. without facing deportation.

The presidential amnesty announced this month will allow at least 550,000 American spouses and children of illegal immigrants to obtain green cards and ultimately become citizens of the United States.

Additionally, the amnesty would allow illegal immigrants who graduate from American universities to be granted work visas.

On Wednesday, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) announced a plan to prohibit the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from using funds to implement amnesty measures. We’re screwed Fourteen House Republicans joined with the House’s 202 Democrats to block the bill.

The 14 Republicans are:

  • Rep. Lori Chavez DeRemer (R-Oregon)
  • Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL)
  • Congressman John Duarte (R-CA)
  • Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (Republican, Pennsylvania)
  • Congressman Carlos Gimenez (R-FL)
  • Rep. Jennifer Gonzales Colon (Republican, Territory)
  • Congressman David Joyce (R-Ohio)
  • Congressman Thomas Kean (Republican, New Jersey)
  • Congressman Young Kim (R-CA)
  • Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY)
  • Amata Radewagen, Member of the House of Representatives (Republican Party, Astana)
  • Congressman Maria Salazar (R-FL)
  • Congressman Michelle Steele (R-CA)
  • Congressman David Valadao (R-CA)

“Biden’s latest mass amnesty order circumvents the law and Congress, benefiting illegal immigrants at the expense of American taxpayers,” Ryan Walker of Heritage Action wrote on X. “It’s deeply disappointing that 14 Republicans voted with the left to protect Biden’s open borders executive order. The American people should take note.”

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said the amnesty was essentially a “welcome rug” for migrants from around the world trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Biden’s ‘parole’ amnesty is an industrial-scale abuse of limited emergency powers without congressional consent,” RJ Howman of the National Center for Immigration Enforcement (NICE) told Breitbart News.

“It’s really puzzling that 14 Republicans are in favor of his lawlessness,” Howman said. “If they did it out of political fear, amnesty was long ago rejected as the magic key to winning the Latino vote. Voters want a permanent end to illegal immigration, including both traditional illegal border crossings and illegal entry under the guise of legality.”
