Pop star Ariana Grande has come under fire from the family of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims after she said the serial killer would be her ideal guest if he could have dinner with anyone, living or dead. “I think she’s mentally ill,” the victim’s mother said of the singer.
“Many years ago, Damar “During the series, I was doing a Q&A with fans, young fans,” Grande recalled in a recent interview. “Someone asked me, ‘If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?’ And I said, ‘Mom, Dad, can I tell you the real answer?'”
“They were like, ‘Yeah, yeah, what’s the answer?’ And I was like, ‘Jeffrey Dahmer is so fascinating,'” the “We Can’t Be Friends” singer continued.
“I wish I could have met him,” Grande said, “with a third party or someone involved, but I have my doubts.”

The pop star added that her parents responded to her answer by telling their little girl, “We’ll explain later, sweetie.”
Notably, Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was also known to have engaged in sexual acts with his victims’ bodies before dismembering them.
Shirley Hughes, the mother of Tony Hughes, who was deaf and speech impaired and murdered by Dummer in 1991, Said According to TMZ, she became emotional when she heard Glade describe the late serial killer as her ideal dinner guest.
Hughes’ mother also said she was uncomfortable with the “Thank U, Next” singer laughing about her interest in Damar during the interview, adding that she was also uncomfortable with Grande showing no empathy for the victim’s loved ones.
“To me, it seems like she’s mentally ill,” Shirley said. “Saying she wanted to have dinner with him is not a fancy or funny thing to say, and it’s not something you should say to young people, but she did.”
Meanwhile, Hughes’ sister, Barbara, told TMZ that she thinks Grande should apologize to let Grande’s fans know her comments were incorrect.
“Unfortunately, she doesn’t know what we’ve been through until it happens to her and her family,” Barbara added.
