CNN Denies Request From White House Press Pool To Report From The Debate Studio

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) CNN CNN had requested that its flagship reporter be allowed to cover the entirety of Thursday night’s debate between President Biden and former President Trump, but the network denied the request.

Through discussions and lobbying, we have urged CNN to allow access for at least one print reporter during the debate,” said Kelly O’Donnell, NBC News reporter and president of the White House Correspondents’ Association.
