Republican Congressman Chip Roy of Texas submitted A resolution to pressure Vice President Kamala Harris to declare President Joe Biden unfit to serve under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
Text Solution The House of Representatives declares that it is calling on Harris to “immediately exercise her authority under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to convene and mobilize the principal members of the Executive Department of the Cabinet and to declare that President Joseph R. Biden is unable to discharge the duties and powers of his office.”
The resolution also declares that the House is calling on Harris to “transmit notice to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House that she will immediately assume the duties of the office of Acting President.”
“The need to invoke the 25th Amendment was not made abundantly clear last night, and it will never be made abundantly clear again.”
who Asked When asked what the lawmaker would accomplish by introducing the resolution, Roy responded, “Make it clear that we believe brain-dead disabled people should be removed from responsibility for nuclear codes and war decisions? Show the absurdity of the Democrats fielding this Manchurian candidate? Trump will win on merit more than Biden or Harris.”
Roy’s move to introduce the resolution comes in the wake of Biden’s abysmal performance in Thursday night’s debate.

Section 4 The 25th Amendment states, “Whenever the Vice President and a majority of the principal officers of the executive department, or such other body as Congress may by law, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
