On Friday’s episode of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher made the case for President Joe Biden’s withdrawal, responding to a request from Democrats to endorse Biden by saying, “I feel abandoned. I don’t have anyone to vote for.”
Maher began by saying, “As I’ve said before, I vote to put his head in a vial of blue liquid. After what happened last night, it’s time to get that vial.”
“I’m on their side, and I said nine months ago in an op-ed called ‘Ruth Bader Biden,’ that he should resign. That’s my position. That’s the position of some people today,” he added. The New York Times The editorial board had asked him to resign. … I think he should resign. I said that a long time ago, and I think it’s now perfectly clear that that’s the only way.”
He also said:[L]”Let’s not pretend that this country is falling apart or that Joe Biden caused it to fall apart. He actually hasn’t done a terrible job at all. And a lot of the things he’s done have helped this country.”
Maher added, “All day long I’ve heard Democrats defending Joe Biden, saying they can’t abandon him. What about me? I feel abandoned. I feel abandoned. I have no one to vote for.”
