Germany beat the storm and the Danes while the Swiss roll Italy – Football Daily | Football

Today’s podcast: Despite a storm in Dortmund that caused a stoppage in play, Germany beat Denmark with goals from Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala. Denmark suffered a refereeing error, a goal disallowed and a penalty for a very harsh handball against Joachim Anderson.

Switzerland, meanwhile, beat defending champions Italy with relative ease thanks to a miserable performance from Luciano Spalletti’s side and will now face the winner of the England vs Slovakia match in the quarter-finals.

Plus, we’ll look ahead to tomorrow’s matches including England’s round of 16 clash with Slovakia, Nicky and Nedham discuss current issues in women’s football and Barry sings Shania Twain.
