They won big, no Bullshit!

A father and son duo from Tennessee have vowed to dine like kings after winning nearly $1 million on a $20 scratch card.

After purchasing the tickets, Jodi’s father, who has not been named, couldn’t wait to play and began scratching them off at the Adairville Market, about 12 miles from where Jodi lives in Springfield, Tennessee.

“I said [to the clerk]”If I won $1 million, I’d never eat bologna again,” the father said, according to lottery officials.

The top prize was revealed within the first few rows, and he matched the three key symbols next to the top prize amount.

“It was a bit of a shock,” his father said.

Jody’s father was so happy about the win that he immediately called his son to share his joy.

“He said, ‘You won’t believe what I just did,'” Jodi told lottery officials.

“And I said, ‘What?’ And he said, ‘I just won a million dollars!’ And I sat there and I thought, wow, I can’t believe it!”

Jody’s father rushed to his son’s house, and the two drove to Kentucky Lottery headquarters the following Monday to discuss how to claim the prize.

The father-and-son team arrived at the company’s headquarters in Louisville on June 10 and selected a lump sum of $700,000.

People who win large amounts in the lottery can choose to receive their winnings as a lump sum or as an annuity.

But while he was at headquarters to collect his winnings, his father didn’t stop working around the house after learning he’d won a life-changing amount of money.

Officials said Jodi’s father had been riding a lawnmower to mow the yard over the weekend while he was waiting to cash the ticket.

Jodie said the couple plans to invest their new money after paying all their bills.

“My house is paid off, my car is paid off, I’ll probably be bill-free by next week,” Jodi said.

“No more debt, no more bills.”

The father and son opted to take a lump sum, which resulted in a check for $504,000 after taxes, lottery officials said.

The gas station where the winning ticket was purchased will also receive a $7,000 check for selling the winning ticket.
