Hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman on Sunday publicly criticized first lady Jill Biden for pressuring the president to stay in the 2024 race despite growing opposition.
In a lengthy X post, Ackman suggested Jill Biden may be pressuring her husband to continue because of the many perks that come with being first lady.
“Jill Biden will become irrelevant the moment her husband is no longer president,” he wrote. “No more Air Force One, no more glamorous living, no more White House dinners, no more being treated like a queen as she travels the world.”
Ackman acknowledged his assessment might be “harsh,” but stressed that Jill Biden may be putting her own wishes above those of her husband, putting the country at risk.
“Stress contributes to nervous system breakdowns, and I’m sure her doctors told her that. Think of the stress she’s putting Biden through by forcing him to keep speaking,” he said. “Now she treats him like a toddler in public (‘You answered all the questions!’) and then like an old man when she takes him off the stage, and then she gets the crowds excited and cheering at her events.”
As Breitbart News reported, Jill Biden praised her husband’s job performance, even though nearly every political commentator has said he’s not only performed poorly but should be replaced.

“Joe, you did a really great job. You answered all the questions. You had all the facts,” Jill Biden told her husband as the crowd cheered.
“So what did Trump do?” she asked the crowd, to which they all replied, “He lied!”
Ackman said Jill Biden’s power was ““He is clearly growing weaker as he gets weaker,” it said, raising poignant questions about who is actually running the country.
“Maybe she thinks the crowd is rooting for her. Her power is clearly increasing as the president weakens, and she likes to feel powerful. She speaks for the president when he can’t speak or when he’s asleep. She tells his team and staff when he is and isn’t available. She likes to be in control, as we all do. So it begs the question: how many of the president’s decisions are actually made by FL?” he said.

The Biden campaign has been arguing since last Thursday that the president is ahead in battleground states and that his fundraising situation remains unchanged. As Breitbart News reported, the Biden family is urging Joe to continue in the race.
“While many donors, Democratic Party officials and voters question whether Biden can serve a second term as president and are calling for him to be replaced, the Biden family is reportedly encouraging the president to ‘stay in the race and keep fighting,’ multiple anonymous sources familiar with the situation told the outlet,” the report said.
“Hunter Biden was described as ‘one of the most powerful voices’ urging the president not to drop out of the race,” it added.
