Biden Does Not Need to Go His Staff Does

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski said Monday on “Morning Joe” that President Joe Biden’s heavily criticized performance during the presidential debate was the result of poor staffing and scheduling.

Brzezinski said, “I really question his schedule. I’m infuriated that he was traveling around the world in four different time zones. It seems like a lack of discipline. These were important events he was scheduled to attend, but the stakes of this election couldn’t be higher. Like many, I want to know if this is a one-off or a sign of things to come. Can his team and the president himself move forward with more discipline and also deal with the fact that he’s 81 years old? And let’s talk about his age, in a moment. Age is wisdom and experience. In Joe Biden’s case, that translates to more bipartisan legislation being passed than any president in the last few generations.”

She continued, “After his awful performance in Thursday’s debate, President Biden is at rock bottom again. It was terrible. And once again, a chorus of Biden doubters. As you all know, my family and I have known this man for decades, as has his family. Yes, I know them personally. And I still believe in Joe Biden. I have learned that it was always a mistake to write him off, and doing so now could have devastating consequences for our country. Are changes needed? Yes, changes are needed in managing him, managing his schedule, and perhaps in the people around him. I also want to say that America needs an explanation from Joe Biden and reassurance that what happened the other night was a one-off and not part of a larger problem.”
