Creator and director of The Chosen Ones He said he’s committed to producing the new season, but would “love to” develop a series about the Book of Acts once that’s finished. Dallas Jenkins said he is currently focused on producing season 5. The Chosen OnesHe did, however, admit that he likes stories about the early church.
He revealed that Season 7 will include the opening scenes from the Book of Acts, spotlighting “the start of the disciples’ ministry.”
“We’re not going to be digging too deeply into the Book of Acts at the end of season seven.“ “But I really do want and hope to be able to continue telling the story of the birth of the church and its greatest moment in history, so right now I’m focused on season five,” Jenkins told reporters during an online press conference.
Jenkins previously said, “After a year of napping The Chosen Ones Now that it’s finished, we’d like to tell other Bible stories as well, as the demand seems to be very strong.”

Meanwhile, in another Jenkins project,The best Christmas ever pageant Until now— released its official trailer and poster on July 1. The holiday film, based on the classic novel of the same name, is set to hit theaters on November 8. It was directed by Jenkins.
The story is about a pair of brothers (the Hardmans) from troubled families who unexpectedly audition for roles in a Christmas play, but are opposed by the townsfolk and church members, who support them.

Jenkins said she often finds herself crying while reading the book.
