Democratic Rep. Jared Golden of Maine said he expects former President Donald Trump to win the 2024 presidential election and is “comfortable” with the outcome, but he doesn’t plan to vote for the Republican candidate.

I reject this premise, and unlike Biden and many other candidates, I refuse to join a campaign to scare voters with the idea that Trump will end our democratic institutions,” he said. “This election is about the economy, not about democracy. And when it comes to the economy, Congress matters far more than who occupies the White House.”
Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger said: offered Joe Biden, a Republican in Congress, endorsed him for reelection and said he was taking the action “because of my unwavering support for democracy.”
