Genie Bouchard’s sultry ‘yard work’ photoshoot gets mocked by Sam Querrey

Sam Querrey may have been green with jealousy, which is why he did what he did with Eugénie Bouchard.

Earlier this week, Bouchard, a Canadian-born tennis and pickleball player, attracted attention in a photo shoot in which she donned a green bikini while working in her yard.

“Sunday yard work,” she captioned the Instagram post as she raked leaves and sprayed them with a hose.

Querrey, a former US tennis star who retired in 2022 and is now a pickleball player, created her own version of the photo series in which she strikes the exact same pose, topless and in a green swimsuit, in her garden.

“How was it? Follow? Follow “Waiting for your call,” he wrote in the caption.

Not only did Bouchard like the photo, but she also commented on the Instagram post with a call to action.

“Next time let’s do a joint photoshoot,” she wrote.

She shared several photos of Query on her Instagram Stories, writing in all caps in one post, “Scream, cry, vomit.”

She added that Query is her “favourite person on the planet”.

Querrey’s photo seemed to be a big hit on social media, with tennis player Alison Riske-Amritraj jokingly commenting on the main post, “Wrong Kini.”

Before retiring in 2022, Querrey will have won 385 matches, 10 singles titles and reached No. 11 in the ATP rankings.

She then joined the Pickleball PPA Tour, which Bouchard currently plays on, in 2023.

Bouchard said in January that she wasn’t retiring from tennis but was instead adding pickleball as a new competitive endeavor.

But that doesn’t mean the former WTA No. 5 wasn’t nervous going into her first PPA tournament in January.

“I’m like a kid going to a new school and going to the cafeteria and I don’t have any friends and I don’t know where anything is,” Bouchard told ESPN at the time. “I’m super nervous. I can’t handle it. Obviously I’m nervous to play because this is my first time.”

“But more than that, I’m definitely a little nervous and wondering what it’s going to be like going to tournaments and walking around a locker room.”
