President Biden assured Democratic governors on Wednesday night that he was in good health, citing the results of a medical exam he underwent after last week’s debate.

However, a White House aide said the brief visit was “non-physical” and was merely to treat what appeared to be a lingering cold.
He said no “extensive tests” had been carried out to assess the president’s overall health.
“Several days [after the debate]”The president was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a cold, but is recovering well,” White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said in a statement.
Biden reportedly made the announcement to more than 20 state governors after one of them asked about his health.
Biden responded that he was in good health and had just undergone a medical check, two of the sources said. Politico.
Reporters asked after the debate whether the president’s health had been examined by medical experts, but White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to directly answer.
“The president undergoes regular annual medical examinations, which are published in detailed reports,” she said. “This will continue to be the case.”
Democrats have growing concerns about the president’s age, cognitive ability and ability to serve a second four-year term, which is why the meeting convened on Wednesday lasted an hour.
After the meeting, several people, including governors of states considered the front-runners to succeed Biden if he drops out of the race, publicly voiced their support for the candidate, many of them using phrases like “we’re in it to win.”
