Feminist protesters storm Hillary Clinton’s feminist-themed Broadway musical Saffus On Tuesday, protesters disrupted the performance, chanting and holding signs that accused Shaw of “whitening” feminist history.
Tuesday Night Performance Saffus The protest, held at New York’s Music Box Theatre, saw protesters describing themselves as “radical, anti-racist, queer feminists” occupy several box seats andSaffus “Whitewashed! Cancellations are tough!”
They also put up large banners with messages.

The protesters’ official website states:Saffus “This is a betrayal of the next generation of feminists. We reject this rehashed white feminism. This action was brought by an autonomous group of radical, anti-racist queer feminists.”
They added:
“Suffs tells a whitewashed version of history. The show’s whitewashing is a dangerous lie because it reinforces certain ideas — namely, that the suffrage movement wasn’t all that racist, that white women’s stories deserve more attention, and that white women have always supported progressive causes. While these are comforting myths for some white women, this kind of misinformation betrays a younger generation of aspiring feminists and leads us all down a dangerous path.”
According to Deadline, theater staff removed the banners and cleared the protesters, and the venue’s sound system announced that the show would be paused. report.
Hillary Clinton is Saffus She serves as the lead producer and has been actively involved in promoting the musical during the recent Broadway season.
The nearly three-hour musical, which has struggled to sell tickets, tells the history of feminism and the women’s suffrage movement and features an all-female and “non-binary” gender performer cast.
Hillary Clinton also used the musical to raise funds for Joe Biden’s Democratic Party.
