Many on the left expressed outrage and indignation at reports that Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia is calling on the Democratic senatorial caucus to ask President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential campaign.
Since President Trump’s disastrous and humiliating performance with former President Donald Trump in the CNN debate, the Democratic Party has been divided, with some calling for the president to drop out of the race and others urging Democrats to continue supporting him.
“Nobody’s going to kick me out. I’m not leaving.”
Friday, The Washington Post report Warner was meeting Democrats on Monday trying to convince Biden to withdraw from the campaign trail.
Biden responded to the uproar by vowing to campaign to stay and defeat Trump.
“I want to be as clear as I can, as simple as I can and as forthright as I can: I am running. I am the Democratic candidate. Nobody is trying to get rid of me. I am not leaving the party.” Said Biden.
“The Biden administration has been at a crossroads with the Trump administration and has been trying to get the president to step down,” Biden said in a statement.
Biden also claimed he was tired from traveling to explain his poor performance, but that excuse made little sense given what his campaign had already said about his schedule.
“The bedwetting and betrayal by the Democratic Party is disgraceful.”
Some Biden supporters took to social media to express disappointment and anger toward Warner.
“Everyone needs to let @MarkWarner know this is a disastrous plan and it’s not going to happen. Everybody tag him. Biden is staying in office and we support him. This is the end. Warner, stop this nonsense now.” Responded Podcaster Kimberly Johnson.

“Mark Warner doesn’t know how to make a proper tuna sandwich so he can complain to me about the choice of president.” Said Another critic.
Others support He supported Warner and said it was important for Biden to withdraw from the campaign.
Warner is chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Asked about Warner’s efforts on Friday, Biden gave a brief response.
“He’s the only one.” Said Biden.
