Jason Alexander opens up about Yankees’ George Costanza bobblehead

George’s summer has finally arrived.

The Yankees unveiled their highly anticipated bobblehead of George Costanza, a character from the 1990s hit sitcom “Seinfeld,” to the first 18,000 fans at Yankee Stadium on Friday night before their game against the Red Sox.

The incident sparked a lot of buzz on social media, with fans at the ballpark showing off new figurines of the Yankees’ fictional traveling assistant secretary.

Then, two days later, Jason Alexander, who played Costanza on the show for nine seasons, responded to the controversy over the bobblehead.

“I’m so glad Bobblehead George was a fan favorite,” Alexander wrote to X on Saturday. “No, I get nothing out of it except the joy that people still enjoy our work 35 years after putting on those glasses. This show was a gift from you guys to us. Thank you for keeping it alive.”

Alexander, 64, of Newark, New Jersey, ended with a joke reminiscent of the third episode of the show’s final season.

“It’s peaceful now,” Alexander said.

This might be a good phrase to use for any Seinfeld aficionados who weren’t lucky enough to attend the game and would love to get their hands on one of the bobbleheads.

There are dozens of bobbleheads floating around the resale market on eBay, with some selling for as much as $214.99 including shipping as a “buy it now” option.
